Welcome to my humble little studio where a world of twirling curls, fightin’ frizz and flingin’ colour around is all very much allowed and even celebrated! Luckily for me, people seem to like it! You may need to prepare yourself for this adventure in curls, colors, and all things hair.

It’s finally time for the big day. Before you arrive for your session, make sure you have completed The Mane Concierge form.
You can choose from several complimentary customization options. Want a quiet, peaceful visit? Opt for a Silent Service, where we keep the convo to a minimum. Or, if you’d prefer something more serene, go for the Spa Serenity experience with a calming soundtrack instead of my usual current and trending tunes.
You can also add luxury upgrades to enhance your visit. Didn’t book it ahead of time but want to treat yourself? No problem! I always build in a ‘Space for Spontaneity’ to make sure you have the flexibility to get exactly what you need.
Whether you're in for a Mane-tanenace Cut or a full session, I’ve got you covered. Choose from a variety of complimentary sweet and savory snacks, plus beverages to keep you fueled and hydrated throughout your visit—whether you’re feeling healthy or indulgent.
And don’t forget to keep an eye out for special seasonal treats!
I've got all the essentials to keep you covered during your appointment. Need a lap workstation to stay productive, access to WIFI, or an iPad with streaming services? Done. Wireless chargers, hand sanitizer, nail file, nail polish remover, lotion, or even a fridge to store your packed lunch (if my snacks aren’t enough)—you’re set!
Say goodbye to being juggled by multiple stylists in a chaotic salon. At The Curly Alchemist, it’s just you and me—one-on-one, no distractions. No assistants. You getting my full, undivided attention throughout your entire service.
Located in a quiet, modern home studio, you might catch a glimpse of someone passing through, but otherwise, it’s your sanctuary. Whether you want to relax or sneak in some remote work, it’s a (mostly) peaceful, uninterrupted space designed just for you.

My mission is to set you up for success, so while we’ll definitely chat about life and the latest restaurant, hair education is never skipped. I am continuously upgrading my knowledge and skills and I get far too excited to pass new info along.
Whether you want to master how to diffuse, style, choose the right products, figure out the new tool you bought or even learn proper shampoo techniques—I’m all in.
I’d bet that if you could, you’d want to make your visit extra special and take a few to-do’s off your list?
You can add a variety of luxury upgrades to any session to elevate your experience.
Choose from necessary indulgences like Warming Hand Therapy with paraffin, Moisture Balancing Treatments, an aromatherapy scalp massage, or a Hair and Scalp Detox.
These options are available when you book, but if you decide to treat yourself last minute, some luxgrades can be added on the fly!
No detail is overlooked when it comes to your sessions…
If you color your hair darker than your natural shade or are starting to spot grays in your eyebrows, consider adding an Eyebrow Tint to your appointment—there’s no extra time needed!
If you’re on a budget or pressed for time and often wear your hair up, Ponylights could be the perfect addition. Just a few foils around the nape can create the illusion of a Full Modern Blonding, even if you’ve booked a smaller maintenance appointment. Your secret is safe with me!
But it goes beyond just these options—I’m always looking for new ways to enhance your experience in the smallest of details.

The Extras

Hair and scalp health is so important, and it's condition can change at any time due to a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the weather, water quality, or your overall health. Before every appointment begins, your hair's colour, texture, porosity, condition, and scalp health is noted. We'll go over any struggles or changes you may be experiencing and we'll be sure to address any issues or make any adjustments.
Throughout your session and after, I keep notes and pictures on all the processes, formulas, cuts, lengths and products that we use. Your hair blueprint is always being updated with the changes.
At your first appointment, we'll kick off the process with a thorough hair and lifestyle discovery.. We’ll dive into your hair history, struggles, and goals to create a tailored plan for the day and ensure your maintenance routine fits your lifestyle. It's all about making sure you feel great about your hair every day, not just when you’re in the studio.
At follow-up appointments, we'll do a shorter but just as thorough discovery to make sure you're still loving your hair, address any new challenges, and adjust as needed to keep your hair aligned with your goals.
Every color service is designed with your hair's health in mind. That’s why all color packages include Olaplex’s award-winning bond-building technology to prevent and protect your hair from oxidative damage during any process. Afterward, I follow up with a restorative treatment to repair and strengthen your hair’s structure, ensuring it stays healthy and vibrant post-color.

The Process

Every service includes Innersense’s Detox Hair Mask to ensure that your hair is free from everyday build up.
I make scalp care a priority as it can have a significant affect on your personal and hair health.
A Sea Salt Scalp Scrub is complimentary with all cuts and some sessions depending on the type of service. Your scalp is also checked with care at each appointment. Any possible issues are noted so that you are aware.
Every service includes my Signature Finish - a complimentary naturally diffused style to finish out the appointment. I want to make sure you leave feeling like your absolute best self, and this finish lets me double-check that your color is flawless and your cut is perfectly detailed.

Appointment Day

On the day of your appointment, prepare for an adventure in hair magic! Your experience is my top priority, and I’m here to ensure our time together is nothing short of fabulous. Before you hop in your chariot (or car), I’ll send you an email packed with all the V.I.S - very important stuff you need to know.

Before we dive into the creative chaos ahead, let’s make sure you’re comfy cozy. Heads up—there are a few stairs to descend your way to hair glory, and while I wish I could magically make them disappear, they’re part of the charm! On that note, every so often, my studio may have the odd furry escape artist that comes to visit. If fluffy companions aren’t your thing, just give me a shout, and we’ll make sure to secure the area for you!

Now, let’s talk timing! Please waltz in at your scheduled appointment time—fashionably late is so last year! If you find yourself arriving a tad early, just shoot me a quick text, and I’ll give you the green light to come on in.
